This coffee is grown near the town of Chelelektu. The washing station was established just out of town in 2015 and has 17 permanent and 150 temporary members during peak harvest. The growing region is around 5km from the mill itself.
The name Chelelektu, besides being the nearby town, means ‘shiny place’ in local Gedefa language.
